I train with:

Brick – doing two (or more) different exercises (one after another) with little rest between each. (e.g., bike and then as soon as your bike workout is complete go for a run). Bricks are usually bike-run but can be any combination.

My name is Joel, and this is my site to track my progress as I prepare to delve into multisport racing.  I've always been intrigued with triathlons but never considered doing one until recently.  At this time, it actually appears as though I will start with duathlons.  I'm not much of a swimmer nor a runner.  Removing swimming from the sports that I need to start training seems to simplify things.

So why this site & blog?  Hopefully someone will find something of interest in what I learn as I train for racing.  Ultimately however, I created this site for myself.  I feel like if I expose my progress to the world, that I'm less likely to pack it in or give up.  I plan on tracking my successes and failures here.  Should I become lazy and not make it to the finish line, then I'll either document it here or the site will go eerily quiet.
